The biggest MacBook Pro deals: the lowest prices in {month} {year}

Looking for the best MacBook Pro deals? Well you’re in the right place. On this page we’ve put together all the best deals on the Apple laptop, and for good reason. The MacBook Pro is one of the best laptops ever made, so any MacBook Pro price reduction is well worth investigating. It’s true, cheap MacBook Pros aren’t exactly common, and they can disappear quickly. That’s why we’re put together this page that pulls all the best live deals from around the world. If you want the best MacBook Pro prices, you’ll find them here.

Apple makes products with lasting quality and usability, and with that quality comes a healthy price tag. And what’s more, they retain their value extremely well, so snagging a MacBook Pro deal when they come around is a high priority for many creatives. However, with constant new models being released, there are deals to be had, so it’s a good idea to get to know the MacBook Pro line, so you’re best positioned to make a buying decision once those short-lived deals arise.

So on this page we’ve detailed the models of the MacBook Pros that we think are worth bargain hunting for. For example, we include the most recent 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, with their new versions of Apple’s own super-fast M1 chip, the M1 Pro and M1 Max. We also have the best MacBook Pro deals on the super popular M1-chipped MacBook Pro (a fan favourite). But we don’t have deals on the 2018 or 2019 versions of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, as the newer models are roughly the same price, and far outstrip them performance-wise (we don’t want you to buy old tech for no good reason).

So scroll on to get started in your MacBook Pro deal hunt. Also, don’t miss our comprehensive guide to the best MacBook Air deals, or our breakdown of the best Apple deals in general.

The best 13-inch MacBook Pro deals

The Apple M1 chip has made quick the splash since Apple announced it would be moving away from third-party CPUs and GPUs in favour of its own in-house processing chip. The M1 has shown up in the 2020 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, and as we saw in our MacBook Pro 13-inch (M1, 2020) review, it’s nothing short of stunning.

Fast and responsive, the 13-inch MacBook Pro M1 is great for resource-intensive tasks like editing 4K video in Final Cut Pro or working with ultra-high-resolution files in Photoshop. Lots of the top apps have been updated with M1-compatible versions to take advantage of the new chip speeds.

Battery life is top-notch too, giving you enough juice to comfortably work out and about for an entire day. Some of the overheating issues that plagued previous MacBooks have been addressed too; it takes a lot more strain on the M1 MacBook Pro before those noisy fans start kicking in.

It’s not perfect, and some users will bemoan the fact that you only get two Thunderbolt ports. Then there’s also the fact that once you upgrade from the basic 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD, the price really does jump. Still, that’s why we keep an eye on all MacBook Pro deals.

The best 14-inch MacBook Pro deals

Apple may have released its best creative laptop yet with the MacBook Pro 14-inch M1 (2021). Equipped with the latest in-house processing chip, this is a confidently powerful laptop crafted by a company at the top of its game. As we found in our Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch M1 (2021) review, this laptop was capable of handling pretty much any task we threw at it, even such intensive tasks as working on complex 3D scenes in Cinema 4D.

What’s more, Apple listened to the creative community’s feedback on previous versions of the laptop and bumped up a few features, notably drastically improving the port situation. This 14-inch M1 MacBook Pro offers three Thunderbolt ports, one HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, and a MagSafe 3 port for charging, which is a vast improvement on the meagre port situation of the 13-inch version.

This is an expensive laptop, no question. But its revitalised display is one of the best we’ve ever seen: a Liquid Retina XDR display with mini-LED technology, providing a stunning contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and a peak brightness of 1,600. Video editors will also be pleased to note that it supports the P3 colour gamut. Whatever media you’re viewing or working on, it really does look incredible.

A new frontier for creative professional laptop, the MacBook Pro 14-inch M1 (2021) and its 16-inch cousin are truly exceptional tools for professionals of all stripes.

The best 15-inch MacBook Pro deals

Apple updated its 15-inch MacBook Pro in 2019 with faster 8th and 9th generation Intel Core processors, bringing eight cores to MacBook Pro for the first time. This ‌MacBook Pro‌ offers two times faster performance than a quad-core ‌MacBook Pro‌ and 40 percent more performance than a 6-core ‌MacBook Pro‌.

This model also comes with another update to Apple’s Butterfly keyboard, which have gone through a few generations of tweaks now in response to reliability issues.

Otherwise, the base specifications for the other aspects of the 15-inch MacBook Pro didn’t change from the 2018 models. You get the same display accompanied by AMD’s Radeon Pro 555X/560X-series or Radeon Pro Vega GPUs, with the top-of-the-range model configurable with the Radeon Pro Vega 16 or 20 chip.

The RAM and SSD options include 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD on the base model, with 32GB of RAM and SSDs ranging from 512GB to 4TB available as upgrades.

Now superseded by the 16-inch MacBook Pro (not to mention the 14-inch M1 model that should be arriving in the next few months), the 2019 15-inch MacBook Pro is no longer available through Apple. Shop around, though, and you might find some worthwhile discounts.

The best 16-inch MacBook Pro deals

This is currently the best MacBook Pro money can buy – so it’s a good idea to manage your expectations when it comes to MacBook Pro deals. It only came out in October 2021, so there are not going to be a glut of huge bargains on the laptop. That’s slightly under stating it. The best deal that we’ve seen was $10 off the $2,499 retail price over Black Friday.

The truth is, Apple, and the many retailers that sell this MacBook Pro, don’t need to get rid of stock at a discount. The 16-inch MacBook Pro is a technical tour de force, and as we noted in our five star MacBook Pro 16-inch (2021) review, its M1 Max chip gives you simply colossal battery life, amazing power, and all fronted by the biggest and best screen on the market today.

Apple debuted the first 16-inch MacBook Pro in November 2019 (read our MacBook Pro 16-inch review), just a few months after refreshing the 15-inch MacBook Pro model (July 2019). It boasts a 16-inch Retina display surrounded by slimmer bezels, so it’s basically the same dimensions than the 15-inch model, but with extra screen real estate.

Otherwise, the 16-inch MacBook Pro models are equipped with Intel’s 9th-generation 14-nanometer Coffee Lake Refresh chips, which are the same chips that were used in the 15-inch models released earlier the same year.

The entry-level 16-inch MacBook Pro (2019) is powered by Intel’s 6-core 2.6GHz Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz, while the higher-end model features Intel’s 2.3GHz 8-core 9th-generation Core i9 processor with 4.8GHz Turbo Boost.

Apple offers two stock configurations cost $2,399/£2,399 and $2,799/£2,999. Both model tiers include Intel’s built-in UHD Graphics 630, alongside either one of two dedicated graphics cards: an AMD Radeon Pro 5300M with 4GB of memory, or an AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 4GB memory. Both can also be upgraded to an AMD Radeon Pro 5500M GPU with 8GB of memory.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro supports up to 64GB of RAM, which is double the maximum amount of RAM that can be had in the previous 15-inch models. Apple also introduced a new fan design in this model, which allows the laptop to run at a higher power for sustained periods of time.

Altogether, whichever tier you go for, the 16-inch MacBook Pro is an absolute beast of a portable machine that will make short work of all but the most demanding video rendering tasks. Wondering whether to go for this or the smaller model? Explore our MacBook Pro 13″ vs MacBook Pro 16″ comparison.
